NEW DANDY feat. ALESSANDRO BRIGHETTI: A WHOLE MADE IN ITALY roBOtEfesti
The seventh edition of roBOt Festival has come. It is by now the renowned event dedicated to electronic music and digital arts. For six years, the traditional music exhibition is handling the project call4roBOt, the call for research in the visual arts, which selects art projects that will be presented during the festival. This year the collective Efesti wants to take part to the contest; it will introduce the project #HandmadeRobot, which aims to create a union between handcraft and technology.
Here, we’re going to tell you about one of the two OFF events that will take place during opening and closing of the festival. It is the closing one, which will be held at the tailor’s New Dandy, just behind Piazza Maggiore: starting from 6 pm master Gian Luca Fontanelli, owner of the shop, who produces tailored dandy style suits – as the name itself suggests us – will open his store to the public to exhibit his works; to recall the technological component there will be a work by the artist Alessandro Brighetti instead, who is working in the field of kinetic art for several years, researching always varied experiments.
It has been the theme of this edition, #lostmemories, that inspired the project: the perception of a reality in oblivion, precisely crafts, a reality that Efesti thinks is possible bring to light instead, properly combining it with a constantly evolving one as technology.
So, see you on October 5th at via Marescalchi 4 from 6 pm to 8 pm; Don’t miss it!
