EFESTI SUGGESTS: SALONE DEL MOBILE

The Italian event about home furniture “il Salone del mobile” in Milan is coming back and it will surely surprise us with some new furniture innovations.

The fair has became  a world-wide benchmark about home forniture, and from the 1961, its year of foundation, it has been a unique event for appreciating and discovering the Italian excellences in export of home furniture and accessories.

The annual event will be held from the 14th to 19th of April at the exhibition center of Milan Rho/Pero and it will present many innovations, first of all the attention paid to home automation. The presence of 24 pavilions will also make sure that the event is not focused only on home furniture, but also on a wide selection of gifts, decorations, textiles, lightning, furthermore, creative innovations designed by young emerging designers will be showed in the branch Salone Satellite.

The FuoriSalone, which is the set of events that takes place in conjunction with the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, will take place throughout the city focusing on a few key and strategic areas. Efesti is here to recommend some appointments to do not miss:

DIN – DESIGN: one big exhibition that brings together the ideas of more than 150 interior designers who come from all over the world. It is from the 14th to the 19th of April at number 6 of Massimiano street.

ROBE DA BOCIA: the debut of the first design furniture for kids designed by Andrea Marcante and Adelaide Head. It is from the 14th to the 19th in Galleria Vanitas that is in the 41 of Vincenzo Monti street.

SHADOWS WOOD & JEWELLERY: 10 expert goldsmiths will create an exhibition of jewelry that combines the rigor of raw wood with modern design and the atmosphere created by the LEDs. It is from the 14th to the 19th of April at 26 of Tortona street.

OUTSIDE – OUTSIDERS: the outer areas of Superstudio Più will host projects of architecture, outdoor furniture, hospitality and much more such as the transformation of Michelangelo Pistoletto from a vegetable garden on the roof in a rice paddy, where will be discussion around themes like man, nature, food and design. It is from the 18th to the 19th of April at 27 of Tortona street.
