Efesti recommends: RAID – Sfornare MondiEfesti
After the success of the first year, Friday March 31, will air in Milan the second edition of RAID, hosted in the dismissed plant where Pasticceria G. Cova used to produce panettone.
Free and non-dogmatic format, RAID implies an action by a selected group of artists in an iconic location different in any edition.
RAID is meant to be an offer on the altar of creativity, a free act, theorised and developed by Fat Ass Cultural Association.
The project advocates the authorship of individual artists and supports the need to bring back the point of gravity on the meanings producers; an horizontal format, created by artists for artists, free from the market dynamics. This approach raises the artists from unnecessary external burdens, providing them the opportunity to offer their own act.
This edition will be held in a former panettone factory, the most typical of confectionery tradition from Milan. The container embeds the raid in a semantic system with strong social impact, like Nutrition, and the artists are required to interpret the various conceptual facets.
Within 6 hours the squad will perform an intervention coherent to the semiotic structure of the project and to the morphology of the space. The materials used can be recovered locally where possible, or imported.
RAID architecture is split into two parts: from 11am to 5pm visual interventions will be realised, while from 5pm to 11pm experimentation will widen for the first time to the most actual researches in the contamination between jazz and electronic music, with three different live set and one acoustic concert at the end.
